Lenovo S820 is made as cast, no matter how hard we try (within reasonable limits, of course), the case does not creak, does not play, does not crack. However, one should not expect anything else, according to this parameter, Lenovo has long been able to give odds to more eminent brands. The thickness of the case of the model is 8.95mm, and although this is not the most record-breaking result, it is very close to it. As with any other Lenovo smartphone, the lock button is located on top here, which is not very convenient. With a screen diagonal of 4.7 inches, only a giant and a pianist with 40 years of experience can reach it with the index finger without intercepting the smartphone. A more convenient location for the lock button is under the volume buttons on the right side of the device. The volume rocker has a fairly large backlash with the body, so it looks very flimsy and dangles in different directions.

Lenovo S820 is equipped with a 4.7-inch IPS display built using OGS technology (no air gap) with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. At maximum viewing angles, the picture looks great, the colors do not fade and do not change. The difference between the upper and lower screen brightness levels is quite large, which allows you not to “burn out” your eyes when reading from the screen at night and use the device in bright sunny weather. In addition, there is a light sensor that will take care of the required level of brightness.
The picture is quite juicy, but something is clearly wrong with the balance of colors. Compared to other devices, the screen seems to be slightly covered with a yellow-brown veil.
System
Immediately after the first launch, the smartphone offered an over-the-air firmware update. S820 works under Android control 4.2.1. Lenovo Launcher 2.0 is used as a shell. The shell is quite functional, it is possible to choose themes, hide unnecessary icons from the menu or change the sort order of shortcuts.
Almost all standard applications which are supplied in stock firmware Android have been replaced by Lenovo's own apps, even the settings section has been redesigned and redesigned.

The gallery and camera interface have been so redesigned that the developers saw fit to rename them "Super Gallery" and "Super Camera" respectively.
