Contents of delivery:

  • Telephone
  • 800mAh battery
  • Charger
  • Instructions

The phone comes with a battery and Charger as well as paper instructions. Lettering on the box on English language, there is a sticker with certificates, including PCT, as well as a sticker with the contacts of the Nokia office in Kazakhstan, in Kazakh ...

The box itself contains several paper instructions for the phone, including in Russian. I hope the practice of putting such Nokia manuals does not make it easier, along with practice, to translate the contents of the box into the language of the country in which the phone is sold. After all, inexpensive mobile phones are often bought by grandparents, and for them a simple instruction is useful or even necessary.

Design, body materials

Nokia phone The 105 is a classic candy bar made of plain, smooth plastic. The material is pleasant to the touch, practical in the sense that it does not leave fingerprints and streaks. There is also a drawback - the casing gets dirty, and strange stains appear on it, I wore my Nokia 105 in a backpack (in a clean one), however, different marks appeared on the casing over the course of a month.

The phone is sold in two colors - black and blue. Probably, black is more practical and there will be fewer traces on it, but blue looks more fun and bright.

The shape of the Nokia 105's body is simply flawless - the device fits perfectly in the hand, with beveled edges on the back, due to which the phone looks smooth.

Dimensions (edit)

The Nokia 105 is a typical inexpensive handset in terms of dimensions: 107 x 45 x 14.5 mm and weighs only 70 grams. As I wrote above, the device fits perfectly in the hand. It can be carried in any pocket of any clothing, even in summer shorts the tube hardly reminds of itself in weight or dimensions.

On the top of the phone, there is a thin charging connector, a 3.5 mm mini-jack for headphones or a headset, and an LED flashlight. At the bottom there is an attachment for a strap or a lanyard.

Numeric keypad

The phone uses a classic numeric keypad made as a single block, as well as four control keys (also included in this block) and a four-way navigation button. The advantage of the keyboard is that it will not break much if you suddenly spill water on it or get caught in the rain, the block is made of rubber. The downside is that pressing the keys is not very convenient, especially if we compare the keypad in the Nokia 105 with the keypad from the Nokia 1280, which used separate, very, very comfortable keys.

The backlighting of the keyboard is soft white, even and pleasing to the eye.

The markings on the keys, in my opinion, are too small, both numbers and letters are applied small print, so it will be difficult for a person with poor eyesight to get used to the keyboard at first.

Display

The Nokia 105 has a 1.4 ”TFT color screen. On the Nokia website, in the field about the screen, it says "RGB line", very interesting characteristic... The display resolution is 128x128 pixels, the screen displays up to 65 thousand colors. In practice, the display is very poor, with minimal viewing angles, a dull picture and the inability to trivially adjust the brightness of the screen backlight. There is also a plus - despite the fact that the simplest TFT-screen is used here, the image from it remains perfectly distinguishable in the sun.

It is a pity that Nokia decided to abandon the monochrome screen in favor of the color one, following other manufacturers. Indeed, in the segment of the cheapest handsets now, it is the monochrome display that could be an excellent plus in favor of this phone.

Battery

The battery capacity in the model is 800 mAh, a BL5CB Li-Ion "battery" is used. The manufacturer claims up to 12.5 hours of talk time and up to 842 hours of standby time, these data are far from reality, as is usually the case with all companies without exception when it comes to specifying the operating time.

In reality, Nokia 105 works for about 7-8 days, if you use the phone as a spare and speak on it literally 5-10 minutes a day, if the handset just lies and is almost not used (a couple of calls a week, when the main device for some reason is not works), the charge is enough for about two weeks.

Voice quality

The Nokia 105 is good in terms of the voice transmission quality, the interlocutors do not complain about interference or noise, the voice is clear and recognizable. But you don't hear people so well anymore. It's not even that the voice of the interlocutor in your phone is distorted, no, there is no problem with that. The catch is that Nokia 105, like the previous model, uses a common speaker for calls and ringing tones, and it is located on top, closer to the back of the device. As a result, in order to hear the interlocutor well, it is better to put the phone to the ear with its back, the place where the slot for removing the battery cover is located, from there goes the clearest and good sound during a conversation.

At the same time, in noisy places you have to set the volume to almost maximum, and all the people around you can quite listen to your conversation with a person, because at maximum conversation volume Nokia 105 works in speakerphone mode, it turns out. It is clear that the use of one speaker is associated with savings, for sure, if the company had added a separate earpiece, the cost of the handset would have skyrocketed from the current 15 euros to 100 euros or more. Everyone knows that a speaker is the most expensive component of any smartphone and phone, it makes up the bulk of the cost! But seriously, it's a shame that the Nokia 105 has only one speaker, this greatly spoils the impression of a solid handset with a cool design, excellent dimensions and even a bearable display.

Menu

The phone menu is represented by a matrix of ten icons, I will not dwell on the description of all the items, I will just note the most important.

The address book simple - you can store up to 500 contacts in the phone's memory, a maximum of three numbers for each contact. Rooms are divided by type. You cannot set a separate melody for a contact, but you can choose a picture from the preset ones. There is a black list, subscribers added to it will not be able to call the owner of the phone.

The phone has an alarm clock, calendar, calculator, unit converter, timer, stopwatch. Separately, it is worth noting the "Expense" program, with its help you can keep the simplest financial accounting with data trimmed daily and monthly, indicating how much and on what you spent the money. You can add your own categories.

The Nokia 105 also has an LED flashlight, so where can you go without it? Holding the up button on the navigation key is turned on.

FM radio works when a headset or headphones are connected. You can also play one of the two games installed on your phone.

Conclusion

The loudspeaker volume in Nokia 105 is good, but the melodies in the device are not the best, most of them sound average, but not loud, the previous model was better in this respect. But the vibrating alert is very decent, powerful, if the device is in your trousers pocket, you will most likely feel the vibration even when walking.

Strengths Nokia 105 is design, good shape of the body, dimensions and minimal weight, long battery life - about a week or longer. In addition, a convenient keyboard, as well as a blacklist function, the "Expenses" program, for an inexpensive handset, each additional useful application, that's a plus.

Weaknesses- a common speaker for incoming calls and conversations, the color screen is far from the best, the blue model gets dirty spontaneously.

The average cost of Nokia 105 in Russia is now about 750-800 rubles, that is, at the level of the previous model, Nokia 1280. If you need a very loud call, then it is better to pick up the previous handset, 1280, if this parameter is not defining, then all other things being equal (price , battery life) Nokia 105 looks more interesting due to new utilities, new ringtones, rubberized common keypad. And outwardly, this phone, in my opinion, turned out to be more successful than the past. And let me remind you that the Nokia 105 is worth buying just as a spare handset that you will use occasionally. If you are looking for an inexpensive mobile phone for constant calls, you better pay attention to the models from Samsung and Alcatel, they are doing much better with the voice quality and earpiece.

Everyone knows Nokia. The Finnish multinational company gave the world a lot of useful technology and mobile phones.

Songs can be downloaded to the device from a computer, having previously downloaded music from an official or pirated site.

On the Internet, you can find any track for your phone. On the official website, you will have to buy a soundtrack or choose from a small list of free options.

Remember in which folder the music will be saved on your mobile device so that you can easily find it later.
