Instructions for replacing the camera module
For each model of the mobile device, there is an individual instruction for replacing the camera module. We will try to replace it using the GT-S9402 Ego phone from Samsung as an example.
Perhaps, this device was at one time not the most successful attempt by the manufacturer to release a “premium” device.
Of the truly "premium" characteristics, we can only highlight the use of an amorphous liquid metal alloy, which is twice as strong as titanium, and the presence of two active radio modules that allow you to install two SIM cards (and quickly drain the battery).

- We begin to disassemble the Samsung Ego. Remove the back panel and battery. With a metal spatula, remove the side inserts on both sides.
- We unscrew the screws fixing the side panels and remove them. Unscrew the four screws from the back of the phone. Using a screwdriver, remove the top metal trim, and then the plastic insert. Next, unscrew the screws.
- We turn the device over and remove the front panel, after which - the keyboard. Unscrew the two screws from the front of the phone.
- Remove the bottom cover with a metal spatula. Then remove the back panel with your fingers.
- Disconnect the flash cable. Under it is another screw that we unscrew. Next, remove the antenna unit and remove the protective metal plate.
- Using a screwdriver, disconnect the display connector and the keyboard connector. We pry off the system board and remove it. Disconnect the camera button and the polyphonic module. Disconnect the flash and remove the polyphonic module. We snap off the module with the camera.
- We snap the new module onto the system board. Then install the polyphonic module. We snap the flash and install the motherboard on the middle part. Put back the display and keyboard connector. Set up the camera button.
Replacing it yourself will not be a problem. Another common problem is the lack of images and control menus. At the same time, the equipment is operational and accepts requests. The cause of the problem is an interruption in the video output circuit. To restore the operation of the mechanism, it is necessary to replace the corresponding board. If the video device periodically restarts or shuts down automatically, there may be a hardware failure. In this case, the chips may overheat. To troubleshoot, you need to eliminate the cause of overheating. A common problem in the operation of the system is a discrepancy between the firmware of the mechanism and the installed software. The camera needs to be reinstalled in a different location or the software needs to be updated. It is better to update the factory firmware of the device to a more modern version with the help of specialists.
