Sports bracelet Nike. Sports bracelet Nike Instructions for fitness bracelets nike

Hello dear readers of my reviews! It's the turn of the Nike Fuelband sports bracelet. I bought it a year ago and have never regretted it. The bracelet counts steps, lost calories, counts the time of physical activity and accrues points for this very physical activity. All this in a day. At 00:00 the data is reset.

The algorithm for calculating these same points is incomprehensible. How exactly the device calculates calories lost is also not clear. Of course, there is an error (judging by the steps), but in any case, if you put the bracelet on the table, it will not show anything no matter how long it lies :)) And if you shake your hand, it may show something, but what's the point of deceiving yourself beloved.

Despite all the usefulness, the bracelet can simply be used as a watch. There is only one button on it, by successively pressing which we view the information we are interested in (steps, calories, "won hours" and fuel "s - the same points that I already spoke about, and time). Time can also be viewed simply by pressing the button twice, and it is VERY convenient).

In addition, there is a timer and stopwatch function, but I have a timer in my phone, and I don’t use a stopwatch.

How to use the bracelet. With the help of special inserts, the size is adjusted: so that it does not hurt and so that it does not hang out. Then connects to the computer using usb cable(available in the kit), and the program autoruns, all this is quick and easy. In this program, a goal for the day is set (it will be constant until you change it again), and other parameters are prescribed. The bracelet is charged in the same way. I charge every week, but in a week it discharges a little completely, so the charge lasts a long time. Knowing your goal for the day, you accordingly try to build the day in such a way as to achieve it (for example, go through an extra stop or go up to the sixth (well, for example :)) floor without an elevator.

How did the bracelet help me personally. Of course, this is not Magic wand. But life with a bracelet becomes more like an exciting game, in which even such banal activities as washing dishes or cooking, washing or ironing clothes take on another meaning :)) and such amazing activities as, for example, walking (alone, with friends or with a loved one), become even more interesting.

I began to move more. Definitely. In addition to playing sports, I began to walk more (along the streets and stairs :)), where you can not use transport or the elevator, I try not to use it. As a result, I lost 8 kg. I could do more, but I don't want to lose any more weight just yet. More often it turns out not to put off the things that need to be done. This, too, I think, is the merit of the bracelet.

The bracelet can be wetted. Wash your hands, take a shower, walk in the rain. Swimming in it is not recommended.

The results for the entire last year are stored on the site [link] , which you need to go to under your account. Here is my best result.

As you can see on the screenshot, on this day, June 4, 2015, I took 24583 steps. On this day I worked out in the gym, ran, walked a lot.

Until June 4, the best result was on August 14, 2014 (18666 steps and 7769 points). It was a day trip to Moscow and Aprelevka. The whole day is like one walking tour (well, not counting the regular bus, minibuses and metro, of course).

Today, more and more people are starting to think about their health. We spend more and more time in transport and in an armchair at computers and practically do not see nature, we do not move on our own two feet. Luckily, there are companies like Nike that help and encourage us to stay active.

This company recently released a bracelet that can motivate people to be healthy and lead a more active lifestyle. It can track your distance traveled per day, count calories burned. All this information accumulates over time and you can see changes in your activity on the chart. In addition, this device allows you to set goals and then achieve them. I had the opportunity to use this device for a week and now I want to share my impressions.

The device comes in such a black box.

The bracelet is available in three sizes:

Small - 147mm
Medium (ML) - 172mm
Large (XL) - 197mm

And in three color options: black, white and translucent.

A translucent M-ka came into our office.

The set includes the bracelet itself, a USB cable for charging, an additional element for increasing the size of the bracelet, a key for unfastening the elements, instructions and a warranty card.

First of all, we decided to charge it, because during the time it was driving to us, the battery was completely discharged. And then immediately discovered a number of nuances.

It will not work to charge the device from stationary computers such as MacPro and iMac, the device simply cannot be connected. You can directly connect the device to a laptop, but in this case it is completely inconvenient to type, access to the keys becomes more difficult, you cannot cover the laptop monitor, and most importantly, when removing the bracelet, you can scratch the surface of the laptop.

The device charges fairly quickly. According to the manufacturer, it should work on a single battery charge up to 4 days. This is less than the Jawbone UP, but the latter works longer due to the lack of a Bluetooth module, which consumes so much power for synchronization.

The bracelet is made of very high quality and pleasant to the touch plastic. It sits very well on the hand, does not rub or cause irritation. The case itself is waterproof but not waterproof. Swimming with him will not work, but he is not afraid of rain.

As I said above, we got a device of size M. The kit comes with an additional element to reduce the size of the bracelet and a key to perform this non-trivial operation. True, with a more detailed acquaintance, it turned out that there are 2 extension elements with the device at once, just one of them is immediately attached to the bracelet.

Thanks to two removable segments, you can adjust the diameter of the bracelet to fit your wrist.

I will say right away that the elements need to be squeezed to a quiet click and check how well they are mated. A couple of times I did not fully connect them and my bracelet “crumbled”.

When putting on a bracelet on your hand, you can pinch your skin or hair, so in our office today a couple of times employees shouted “Ayy” and we identified the next person who wanted to try the Nike + Fuelband in action by voice. 🙂

The bracelet sits very well on the hand and is not felt at all, sometimes you even forget that you have it on your hand. The material does not cause discomfort or any irritation.

Nike+ Fuelband is able to calculate the energy spent per day, count the number of steps, the distance traveled and show the time.

The device is quite easy to set up. First we need to register our account at http://nikeplus.nike.com.
In the same place we register our data and, most importantly, we register our weight and height, which is very important for further calculations.

I advise you to immediately go to the Site Preferences tab when setting up and change miles to kilometers and pounds to kilograms.

In the Your Profile tab, now we set up our weight and height.

After that, install the Nike+ Fuelband app on your iPhone/iPad and log in with your account. During the first launch of the application, we will be shown colorful instructions for setting it up. There is nothing difficult to set up, on our iOS device we turn on Bluetouth, on Nike + Fuelband we hold down the button until the Bluetouth symbol appears on the display.

After that, it will appear in the list of Bluetooth devices.

The devices are now paired. Synchronization is quite simple, you need to hold down the button on the bracelet and touch the screen iOS devices. In a minute, the data will be updated and you will see your statistics.

You can view statistics both on iPhone/iPad and through the website.

Statistics are displayed by day, week, month and year.

Immediately, I note that the main units of measurement (4215 and 1006 in the image above) are conventional units of the energy expended. The calories burned are displayed just below. Also, based on mathematical calculations, the number of steps and the distance traveled are calculated.

Nike+ Fuelband is not universal measuring instrument. It won't calculate the energy expended from lifting a barbell, cycling, but it's great for tracking the number of steps taken in a day. So I can see at the end of the day that I practically didn’t go, left the house, went to the minibus, there I quickly ran to the subway and spent the whole day sitting in the office at the computer. In the evening, looking at a low figure, you understand that it would be nice to walk a little in the park and “rattle your bones” before driving home to the couch. Every day in the evening I put emoticons, my morale. On the days when I spent the whole day at home or in the office, the state was, frankly, not a “fountain”, but if I walk a couple of kilometers to the house on foot in the evening, my mood immediately rises.

This bracelet will certainly become a good motivator and a stylish accessory. And the opportunity to share the results with friends can awaken new forces and a desire to show the whole world who is the most athletic.

The Nike+ Fuelband is available for pre-order now. possible right now.

Bracelet. One of the first jewelry made by human hands. It seems that bracelets have always existed - they were in demand during the time of Catherine II, they were popular under Charles and Louis. The first specimens found by archaeologists belong to the Paleolithic, which is from 2.5 million to 10 thousand years BC. Yes, yes, human civilization is not 2013 years, much more. But it's not about people, but for NIKE + FUELBAND SE - one of the most technologically advanced, certainly stylish and functional bracelet.

Box

The package consists of two parts - the top cardboard case, which contains all the information necessary for choosing and buying an accessory, and a box in which the Fuelband itself is hidden, pieces of paper, an additional link for changing the diameter of the bracelet and a short cord for charging and synchronization.

Bracelet

Externally, the Fuelband SE is a regular bracelet made of black matte silicone. Only one button stands out from above, which can be mistaken for a decorative element. Below is a secure zipper. There is also a USB for charging and synchronization, and also a part, by replacing which you can lengthen or, conversely, shorten the bracelet. The Nike + that came to me for review was wearing a short jumper, in the kit - a long one and a special tool for removing unnecessary.

The inside of the bracelet is the strangest thing you can think of. Fuelband SE is available in four colors - black, light green, lilac and red. Outside, no difference. In other than black, only individual parts are painted and almost all of them are on the inside. That is, if you put a bracelet on your hand, then there is no difference what color it is. One thin contrasting stripe on the outside does not count.

On the hand

Despite the soft plastic and even softer silicone, the accessory sometimes feels like a tightened handcuff on the hand. Not cold like "Tenderness", but unpleasantly squeezing the wrist. It is easy to get rid of this, it is worth replacing the jumper with a longer one. Let it dangle a little better than create an unpleasant feeling of discomfort.

If we talk about the size, then here's a tip - be more careful at the stage of purchase. Important to do right choice and fall into the dimensional interval. Here Nike+ presents three options - S, M/L and XL. The average size is designed for 18-21 centimeters of coverage, S - from 15 to 18, XL - from 21 to 24.

For serious powerlifters, the bracelet is probably not suitable. Wearing it without buttoning it is stupid. It's not just that Nike came up with such a reliable lock?

I'm using Jawbone UP which doesn't have any lock at all. In the subway, it can be scary to get hooked and lose a bracelet or be a victim of a novice pickpocket. UP is worth a little pick up, as he already flies off his hand. Almost never interferes, but you are afraid for him. Worried about some accessory!

Designed for enthusiastic athletes, the Fuelband has no such problem. The tightly coupled two ends are unlikely to be accidentally or just as easily separated while the bracelet is on the arm. This Nike+ can only be removed by pressing a dedicated lever. Until then, the shockproof accessory can be beaten, tried to stretch, twist. He seems to be all over the place.

The only thing SE needs to be protected from is excessive moisture. Of course, it will withstand running in the rain or falling into a puddle. But you don’t need to experiment with swimming, bathing, and even better, showering. The fitness bracelet is focused on everyday wear, but with breaks for sleep and serious water procedures.

How does he work

Before using the bracelet, you must install special application on the iPhone. You can also use a computer, but what could be more valuable than mobility for an active person? Further - a simple bundle of an accessory with an application, setting goals for the day and a “click” on the wrist. Everything, Fuelband is ready to use.

After a simple setup, the bracelet will count the activity, compare it with the weight, age, gender of the owner and the average indicators of other Fuelband users similar in constitution and lifestyle. By default, the average requirements are set. They can be changed manually if the selected activity is impossible or, conversely, too simple. Keeping up is the core principle of Nike+. Achieve new heights, overcome increasingly difficult obstacles with ever greater ease.

All activity is saved in the application on the iPhone. Synchronization takes place via Bluetooth. On the one hand, this method drains the battery of the bracelet and only three or four days pass from charging to charging, on the other hand, if the accessory does not interfere at night, it can be removed only when you want to take a shower or bath. The fuelband doesn't need to be tugged at every sync like the Jawbone UP of the first two generations. The application not only makes a story, but also gives recommendations, praises, encourages, and sometimes scolds a little for lack of diligence.

Who is it for

Unlike the Jawbone lifestyle bracelets, the Fuelband is aimed more at athletes, amateurs and fans of a healthy lifestyle. This piece of Nike +, it is for the participants of city races, basketball players, hockey players, football players. Maybe not professional, but striving to become better, stronger, faster. It is for everyone who is ready not only to monitor their activity, but to set new goals and achieve them.

For the review of the Nike + Fuelband SE fitness bracelet, the editorial staff thanks the gadget and accessories store

NikeFuel is a kind of sports glasses that converts the user's physical activity, whether it's walking, running, dancing, active games, a boxing match, etc. Built into the bracelet accelerometer determines when a person strains their body, and the program and diagrams developed at Nike make it possible to understand exactly how they do it in order to accurately calculate the energy expended and the benefits from it.

If you buy this accessory, please note that it comes in three different sizes. When I opened my box, I was very upset because it contained a bracelet for a woman's hand. However, in the inner compartment, there was a “cure” in the form of a spare extension section, which was attached to the bracelet with a paper clip.

There was also a cord for the battery. Plugged into a standard iPhone charger, the Nike+ Fuelband was ready to go in half an hour.

Before putting on the wrist, the bracelet must be adjusted using free utility Nike+ Connect , indicating your athletic performance. Nothing more is required of you. Just wear the bracelet on your hand, from time to time look at what he counted, and when the time appears, transfer all the accumulated information to Nike+ server.

If you missed a day and didn't sync the Fuelband, then it's okay: the device stores all your results in memory, starting new cycle countdown at midnight.

Simply plug your Nike+ Fuelband into your computer's USB port to sync and set up.

The branded program will automatically start and after connecting to the statistics server you will be able to see the history of your sports achievements both by day and in total.

The presence of a computer is not necessary, because the synchronizer can be an iPhone with installed program Nike+ Fuelband. In this case, data exchange with the bracelet occurs via Bluetooth. I did not read the instructions, so I was surprised to find this method while writing this text :)

Nike+ operates with some abstract quantity called Fuel. If you lead an active lifestyle, you need to reach 2000 units every day (the limit can be changed in the Settings). If you press the single button of the bracelet, the current result will be displayed on the screen in the form of numbers and a color status at the bottom. When Fuel=2000 is reached, the goal is considered achieved.

We can say that this accessory is a strong motivator for sports. If earlier in the gym I focused on the state of the muscles after training (they hurt - they don’t hurt), now I see my work in a more understandable digital form. Over time, you will begin to increase your Fuel, because the record in 2000 units will bring a smile. Nike+ Fuelband shows your whole life in moments when the butt is not in contact with the office chair or sofa.

In addition, Nike + Fuelband shows the number of calories burned, steps taken, and can also act as stylish watches.

pros:
– Light weight;
– Convenience;
- Does not rub;
– Functionality.

Minuses:
– You can’t swim in the pool with it;
- High price. On eBay, the Nike+ Fuelband starts at $200. In Russia, throw another $130 on top.

Rate.

Following its competitors, Nike introduced its equally significant development - the Nike + FuelBand fitness bracelet, which tracks your daily activity using a built-in three-axis accelerometer. In addition, Nike is doing everything possible to spur interest in the FuelBand fitness bracelet. So this bracelet came out in a limited edition, but at the same time, compared to other bracelets with similar functions, it is quite expensive - $ 150 per bracelet.

It's a lot or a little, it's up to you, but here we put the question as follows: is this fitness bracelet worth the money invested in it? The FuelBand fitness bracelet has been tested for one week. Based on the test results, we can conclude that this fitness bracelet is a complex invention.

Nike has done a great job of presenting their FuelBand fitness band in the best possible light. It has a very simple yet stylish design, and despite the rather stiff strap, it is so light that you will forget that you have to wear it all day. We offer you to read the review of the fitness bracelet in the article:

In general, you can sleep in it, it does not interfere at all.

In addition, the bracelet is truly waterproof, so you can take a shower in it without fear, or walk around in the rain on autumn evenings without worrying that your bracelet will fail.

Of course, it's not worth the risk, but Nike representatives say that the bracelet is not designed for diving, but you can safely take a shower in it.

In addition to the bracelet (which can be purchased in three different sizes: small, medium and large), the FuelBand fitness band comes with two connectors (8mm and 16mm) that allow you to increase the size of the band for optimal fit on the arm, a calibration device that makes it easier to fit the band and a charging stand when connected to computer via USB port.

It takes about an hour to fully charge the battery via the USB port (which, by the way, also acts as a bracelet clasp) battery life the bracelet is surprisingly good - the bracelet works on a single charge for about a week, although Nike claims that it will work without recharging for 4 days.

Nike FuelBand review (video)

The fitness bracelet is similar in functionality to the same fitness bracelets or pedometers on the market in terms of tracking calories burned and steps taken. The only real difference is the advanced Nike Fuel scoring system, which displays your activity levels throughout the day. This system gives you points for every activity you do (walking, running, pouring milk into your cereal bowl, etc., etc.).

In addition, you can set daily goals, which the FuelBand bracelet notifies you of when it is completed by triggering multi-colored lights, which are located just below the main LED matrix. How close you are to your goal is shown through progress bars that go from red to orange to yellow and finally turn green to indicate that you have reached your goal. And if that's not enough, the device also has a built-in clock-timer function. This is a very handy and necessary feature.

Another great feature of the FuelBand is the ability to update in real time via free app for iPhone (or using the Nike+ app with the ability to connect to your PC) by syncing your device via Bluetooth. Not only will the app give you minute-by-minute statistics and graphs showing what you've been up to all day, but you'll also get the ability to unlock trophies for reaching specific goals.

Unfortunately, since you wear the bracelet on your wrist, it only tracks activity when you move your hands.

And this means that from the point of view of sports, in particular, for example, for riding a bicycle (if you do not try to wear it on your ankle), it is useless. But at the same time, it will still track your activity when dribbling the ball in basketball with one hand.

Nike+ Fuelband SE Fitness Bracelet (video)

In general, for those who expected something extraordinary from this expensive gadget, we can say that FuelBand is rather an excellent motivational tool for those who lack physical activity in their daily lives. If you've got the money to spare, you'll probably find a use for it (not to mention it's a very stylish accessory), but despite Nike's best efforts, the FuelBand is a luxury that not everyone can afford. can afford.
