If the measurement process has started, but you have not put it on your hand, the device will display an error message.

After the measurement, the tonometer will tell you your blood pressure and pulse, will tell you the level of your pressure from "ay-ay-ay" to "and so it will come down" and will inform you that the measurement is over.
If you turned off the sound, then the measurement will take place in complete silence.

Afterword

Previously, I did not think about the need to know my pressure until I gained an extra 13 kg of weight. Feeling unwell and headaches were associated with fatigue. Until he accidentally rushed to the hospital with bronchitis. There the doctor diagnosed me with hypertension, prescribed treatment and recommended that I pay attention to excess weight and periodically check my blood pressure. After that, I took up my mind and lost 10 kg. The pressure returned to normal and rarely rose above 130. But now I know my "normal" pressure. And the question of the need for such a device in the house does not even open. Someday he may be needed (ugh ugh ugh of course) and it is better to know the reason for your poor health, and not to speculate.

Chinese blood pressure monitor from Aliexpress - should you believe it? Let's ask a doctor, check with a traditional blood pressure monitor and answer this question.

In my house, I have a concentration of domestic, but certified and practicing doctors / square meter - more than in any decent hospital. Accordingly, the number of all equipment related to medicine and its teaching is growing. Therefore, I decided to review an automatic Chinese blood pressure monitor at a modest price of $ 14.29 and was confident in a detailed answer to the original question - should I believe the Chinese blood pressure monitor from Aliexpress?

Blood pressure is one of the main indicators of the vital (vital) functions of the body. High and low blood pressure can significantly affect not only your well-being, but also your overall health. Every time you see a doctor, you can and should be asked to measure your blood pressure.

The wall of the vessel and the blood are the same water in the pipe from the school physics lesson. With a constant volume of water, but with a different diameter of the pipe, there will be different pressure and speed. And vice versa - a different volume of water in the same pipe will give different results.

For the wall of a peripheral vessel, the blood pressure should be in the range from 110/70 to 130/85 mm Hg. Art. This pressure should ensure sufficient blood supply to all systems and organs of the body and at the same time not damage the vessel wall itself. Normally, pressure readings can vary within these limits throughout the day.

The blood pressure level is influenced by:

- Endocrine background;

- Smoking;

- Low temperature;

- Medications.

Why is blood pressure so important?

There are two options for blood pressure disorders - decrease and increase.

Low pressure will lead to weakness, lethargy, headache, sometimes nausea, dizziness, with a pronounced decrease in pressure, renal failure may occur. However, in the chronic variant, it will rarely lead to a fatal prognosis., as opposed to high pressure.

The constant increased blood pressure on the walls of blood vessels ultimately leads to their hardening, a decrease in flexibility and fragility. The sclerosed vessel wall loses one of the main functions - the function of the membrane, which allows nutrients and oxygen to pass to the tissues, and the thinned vessel can burst, which can lead to the formation of necrosis in various target organs, and these are the eyes, kidneys, heart, brain ...

According to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at Washington University in Seattle (USA) (2015), the main causes of death in the world for men and women are:

  1. High blood pressure
  2. Smoking
  3. High body mass index
  4. Elevated blood sugar
  5. High salt diet
  6. Low fruit diet
  7. Air pollution
  8. Household air pollution
  9. High cholesterol
  10. Alcohol

Here is more clearly in the pictures:

  1. Causes of death in men:

  1. Causes of death in women:

There are many risk factors for high blood pressure, including age after 40 years, heredity, smoking and others. That is why it is necessary to regularly measure blood pressure, and in the presence of pathologies, even more so.

So, tonometers, how not to get lost in all the variety?

Blood pressure can be measured with a mechanical tonometer, or with an electronic one. Electronic blood pressure monitors do not require auscultatory determination of the pulse, since it uses an oscillometric method that can more accurately determine blood pressure.

This problem is especially acute in patients when, depending on the pressure indicators, it is necessary to adjust the treatment. It is not a problem to measure blood pressure at a doctor's appointment, now it can be measured in a pharmacy and in a rural outpatient clinic. This becomes a problem at home, especially for lonely people, for people with weak muscle strength, for whom it is rather difficult to pump the pear of a mechanical (or semi-automatic electronic) tonometer. Here modern electronic automatic blood pressure monitors come to the rescue, which do all the work for you, you just need to install them correctly.

Today the manufacturers Omron, AND and Microlife are considered the leaders in the production of electronic blood pressure monitors, but their price ranges from $ 50 to $ 400, or even more.

Can a cheap Chinese blood pressure monitor become a competitor for branded ones?

The method for determining blood pressure in all electronic tonometers is the same - oscillometric. This means that the device can use the pressure in the wrist cuff to determine the pressure in the arterial vessel. Both in a Chinese tonometer and in a Swiss-made tonometer - the method for determining the indicators will be the same and in many respects the price is determined only by materials, additional accompanying goods.

However, sometimes the rates are different - why?

Here are the main reasons for different indicators on different blood pressure monitors:

■ the level of blood pressure is not a constant value: under the influence of internal factors of the organism and external circumstances, the pressure is constantly changing;

■ errors are possible when measuring pressure with a mechanical device, since the results are evaluated subjectively, and often they are rounded up to “whole values”. Correct preparation for measurement with a mechanical tonometer, error-free adherence to the measurement technique is of great importance;

■ pressure, measured at the wrist, differs from the value of blood pressure on the shoulder due to the greater remoteness of the artery from the heart, and in addition, it may differ due to sclerotic changes in the vessels that manifest with age, most likely here the pressure indicators will be underestimatedNS... It is necessary to compare the indicators with the brachial artery. This is due to the diameter of the vessel and the distance from the heart:

■ the purely physiological characteristics of the body of each person are affected: poor elasticity of blood vessels, deep location of blood vessels from the surface on that part of the arm where the cuff is applied, excessive fat layer, etc.

■ too frequent measurements and small intervals between them lead to surges in blood pressure (due to the reaction of the artery wall to compression).

That is, the magnitude of the pressure will depend more on the correct installation of the device, the measurement rules and, in the case of a mechanical tonometer, on personal skills.

A Chinese electronic automatic tonometer on the wrist Electronuc blood pressure monitor model JZK-002, without a voice mode (there are also models with a voice mode, which will be more appropriate in visually impaired patients), with memory of results came to our review.

The device consists of a cuff and a monitor, which are conveniently placed in a case. The instruction in English describes the use of the model in sufficient detail.

The main indicators of the tonometer:

  1. Pressure limits that this model can measure: 20-280 mm
  2. The heart rate range is 40-160 beats / min.
  3. Accuracy +/- 3 mm Hg, +/- 5% (pulse).
  4. Memory - 99 results for two patients.
  5. In the presence of arrhythmia, the heart rate indicator flickers on the monitor.

How to insert batteries (two pieces of AAA, in our case 750 mAh enelups withstood all tests, attempts to measure on business and for fun, somewhere 20-30 measurements and have not yet sat down):

Before measuring pressure, you must adhere to strict recommendations:

■ 30 minutes before the measurement, it is necessary to exclude eating, smoking, physical stress and exposure to cold;

■ before measuring the pressure, it is necessary to sit or lie down quietly (depending on the chosen position of the body at which the measurement will be made) and relax;

■ measurement starts 5 minutes after resting in the above position;

■ When measuring pressure from a seated position, the back must be supported because any form of isometric exercise will immediately increase blood pressure. The midpoint of the shoulder should be at the level of the heart (4th intercostal space);

■ during measurement, do not talk or make sudden movements;

■ the interval between measurements should be at least 3-5 minutes. In the pauses between measurements, it is advisable to loosen the cuff.

When measuring pressure several times in a row, each subsequent reading may be lower than the previous one. The reason for this is blood stasis resulting from too short intervals between measurements. It is enough to increase the intervals between measurements up to 3-5 minutes to allow blood circulation to be restored. In addition, the first indicator of blood pressure measurement may differ from the subsequent ones, which is explained by the "habituation" of the artery to compression. However, it should be borne in mind that the first blood pressure measurement result is rarely true.

To install the device on your wrist, you must adhere to the following recommendations:

■ remove the watch or bracelets from the wrist to be measured,

■ unfasten and slightly peel back the sleeve of the garment;

■ Place the tonometer on your wrist with the display facing up at a distance of 1 cm from your wrist.

Exactly this way, not this way:

Do not clench your fist or move your hand. Fortunately, this recommendation is repeated on the packaging, in the instructions, in the description and on the tonometer itself.

After installing on left wrist, turn on the on (PUL) button, the tonometer starts to automatically pump air into the cuff. The measurement is carried out for 10-15 seconds. During this time, the approximate heart rate, systolic and diastolic pressure are measured.

Indicators are automatically remembered. After the memory is full (which is 99 indicators), the memory is automatically cleared.

Blood pressure results.

We all know that normal pressure readings should not go beyond 139/89 mm Hg.

First: these indicators are average when measuring pressure by a DOCTOR.

When measuring the pressure at home - the indicators should be no more than 133/82 mm Hg. If the indicators are higher, and this was discovered for the first time - a doctor's consultation is required.

But, if you are a hypertensive person with experience, then such indicators should be regarded as high blood pressure and, depending on this, calculate the medication intake.

Second: the indicator is 133/82 mm Hg. all the same it is designed for the brachial artery, the indicators for the wrist may be lower. Therefore, first you need to compare the measurement data on the shoulder (with a mechanical, for example, tonometer) and then with the Chinese tonometer on the wrist Electronuc blood pressure monitor model JZK-002. Our test measurements on a sample of three measurements showed a difference of 5-7 mmHg. between an automatic wrist tonometer and a classic mechanical tonometer with a shoulder cuff and in the hands of a highly qualified physician. This made it possible to draw such optimistic conclusions below.

However, do not forget that a tonometer is a device for measuring pressure. The heart rate readings, which will also be displayed on the monitor, are approximate.

Let's see how it looks live and in my performance

Should you buy a Chinese blood pressure monitor?

  • convenient, compact case
  • ease of use
  • memory availability
  • easy to take with you on the road

- not suitable for elderly people - pressure surges may not be recorded, there is a danger of missing very high blood pressure

- not suitable for people without self-discipline. Clear rules for measuring pressure must be strictly observed

- need to change batteries frequently

In general, with all the pluses and minuses, the Chinese tonometer on the wrist will be little inferior to the more expensive counterparts of the middle class of mechanical tonometers.

And on Ali, you can still buy it with a certain discount by using the EPN cashback - a cashback specialized specifically for Aliexpress and return about 7-15% of the money spent there. That is, for a total of 100 bucks spent on Ali on various goods and different orders, the total cashback will return about 7-15 dollars. And the final price will turn out all of them will no longer be 100, but 85-90 bucks. Here is a link invitation with all the details -

11 9. General information about blood pressure 1 Classic English Circulation The circulation of blood supplies oxygen to the organs of the body. Blood pressure refers to the pressure of the blood in the arteries (blood pressure). The blood pressure value, called "systolic" or "high", refers to the blood pressure that occurs when the heart muscle contracts. The blood pressure value, called "diastolic" or "lower", measures the blood pressure that occurs when the heart muscle relaxes. Blood pressure classification The World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) have developed a classification for blood pressure. This classification is based on blood pressure values measured in seated patients in a hospital outpatient department. Health and Blood Pressure The likelihood of developing hypertension increases with age. Additional factors that trigger hypertension are insufficient exercise, being overweight, and high cholesterol (LDL) levels, which adhere to the inner surface of blood vessels and impair their elasticity. Hypertension accelerates the atherosclerotic process, which can create conditions for the occurrence of such dangerous diseases as stroke or myocardial infarction. Therefore, it is very important to know if your blood pressure is within the normal range? Blood pressure changes every minute during the day. Therefore, in order to estimate the average values of your blood pressure, it is necessary to take regular measurements. 106 Systolic blood pressure (mmHg) Severe hypertension 180 Moderate hypertension 160 Moderate hypertension 140 Normal systolic value 130 Normal blood pressure 120 N Optimal blood pressure (value to be reached) According to WHO / ISH blood pressure classification. Diastolic blood pressure (mmHg) Symptoms Causes of high blood pressure A person may not notice high blood pressure for a long time, as it usually has no noticeable symptoms. Listed below possible reasons occurrence of abnormally high blood pressure: Overweight High cholesterol Smoking Alcohol abuse Stress and nervous shocks Consuming large amounts of salt Lack of physical fitness

12 stress Hereditary predisposition Underlying disease, such as kidney dysfunction or endocrine disorders Blood pressure measurement Daily blood pressure measurements will help identify high blood pressure at an early stage and provide the necessary treatment. The oscillometric measurement method determines blood pressure by measuring pressure fluctuations caused by pulse waves. Since blood pressure changes during the day (see graph on the next page), in order to obtain comparable values, you must always measure at the same time. When measuring pressure in the doctor's office, you may feel nervous and stressed, so the blood pressure will be higher than when you measure the pressure at home under normal conditions. This phenomenon is known as "white coat fear hypertension." 1 Classic English Treatment of high blood pressure If, after repeating measurements over several days, your upper blood pressure reaches mmHg. Art., and the lower mm Hg. Art, you need to see a doctor for a detailed medical examination. You can help yourself with the treatment prescribed by your doctor in the following ways: Lose weight and lower cholesterol levels by reducing the amount of high-calorie and fatty foods in your diet. Cut back on animal fat and eat more fruits and vegetables. Reduce alcohol consumption. Reduce salt intake: The German League Against High Blood Pressure recommends an average of six grams of salt per day (that is, one teaspoon). Quit smoking. Provide yourself with regular physical activity. Control your blood pressure. 200 Upper curve: Systolic blood pressure Lower curve: Diastolic blood pressure mmHg. Art Time of day Example: daily fluctuations (male 35 years old) 107
