This is my sixth Powerbank. I decided to write a review about it because it is very different from what came into my hands before. But I'll start in order. I had 2 powerbanks, each for 4 18650 cells. But using them was not very convenient. Together they weighed a lot and had only one USB output at 1A. Since I often charged a tablet and a phone from them, I had to turn them on both at the same time. Moreover, the capacity of one (the 18650 cells were far from new) was not enough to fully charge the tablet, and after charging the phone, we had to transfer the cable and charge the tablet. Well, these old powerbanks also had protruding on / off keys, often turned on in the bag themselves and did not have an auto off. In short, a lot of inconveniences. Therefore, it was decided to look for a powerbank of a larger capacity, at least for 6 18650 cells. I immediately found 2 types at a reasonable price. More precisely, the hero of our review was at a reasonable price, and the second one - generally cost $ 5. Such a low price confused me, so I ordered both types. About cheap option I'll tell you in another review (by the way, my fears were in vain, despite such low price it turned out to be an excellent powerbank).

I thought that I could try to power the echo sounder from this box and not carry a heavy lead battery with me on fishing.
I received the Powerbank in a colored cardboard box (all in hieroglyphs), inside in a nice-to-touch bag the box itself and 2 cables: one for charging the powerbank from USB, the second for powering external devices from 9 or 12 volts. The connectors are different, it is impossible to confuse them. There is no charger included. But I ordered it in advance and already did a review on it ,.
The box itself is very high quality made of soft-touch plastic, pleasant to the touch.

There are 5 LEDs on the top cover, which show the battery charge and the selected voltage. As well as an on / off button and operating mode control.
At the end there are two 5-volt USB connectors for 1A and 2A. And 2 sockets of different diameters for connecting a charging cable and a 9 or 12 volt power cable.
On the back there is a rating plate and 4 screws securing the back cover. On back cover I was interested in the last line before the hieroglyphs. Where currents are indicated, there is another voltage, 3.7v -4A. In the description on the site, nothing is said about 3,7v, only 5v, 9v and 12v. It turned out that the voltage of 3.7 (actually a little more than 4v) is still there!
On the side there is an On-Off switch. I didn't immediately understand what it was. The Powerbank turns on and works both in the ON position and in the OFF position, there is no difference. At first I thought that this switch simply does not work. But then, experimentally, I found that this switch turns on / off the powerbank auto-off system (if the switch is in the ON position and the load is not connected, the powerbank itself turns off after a few seconds, if in the OFF position, it remains on, even if the load is not connected). This is very convenient and a big plus.
We open the box.
Inside we see a charge converter-controller board. Everything was done carefully, there is no indelible flux. Everything is beautiful. But the assembly density is low, the board could be smaller.
On the side there are 6 compartments for 18650 cells. The latter is shifted so that the cover fixing screws are placed between it and the rest of the elements.
On the side of the elements, about a centimeter of free space. Honestly, here the Chinese designers disappointed me. The box is rather big, but it could have been made a centimeter shorter and narrower without any problems. But what is, it really is.
When connected to charger The LEDs showing the current battery percentage will light up and the next LED will flash. When charging, the powerbank consumes from 1.5A at the beginning of charging to about 0.4A at the end. After the batteries are fully charged, all the LEDs are on and the device is disconnected from charging, the current consumption is 0A.
Powerbank is very easy to operate. Press the button on the top cover. The LEDs light up to show the current battery level and go out. Only the LED near the 5V inscription is on, signaling that the output voltage is 5 volts. Double pressing the button (or press and hold) switches the voltage to 9V, which is signaled by the LED next to the 9V inscription. Another double (or long) press - switch to 12V, the next double (long) press - turn off the powerbank. This is where the trick with the undocumented 3.7V comes in. When the device is turned off, the output through the 4A current limiter is connected directly to the batteries.

My conclusions: an excellent, well-made powerbank with advanced features and beautiful work. The only drawback is the irrational placement of the batteries and, as a result, slightly overestimated overall dimensions.

Following the emergence of the concept of powerbank and after confirming its feasibility and effectiveness, the question arose, What to do if the output voltage portable device differs from the voltage of a traditional external battery. These devices include, first of all, a laptop, as well as a navigator, camera, tablet, portable vacuum cleaner, portable speakers, 12v tire inflation compressor and the like.
If you read my previous article about, then you know that their output voltage is 5 volts, which is very little to power a laptop. It is quite possible to squeeze 12 or 19 volts out of a classic power bank by simply changing the connection from parallel to serial. But you need to take into account the number of elements in the power bank, the voltage of each of them. For example, to get 12 volts, at least 4 elements (3.6v each) are required.
Therefore, having collected all this knowledge in a heap, it turned out, the so-called universal external battery with a voltage of 12 - 16 - 19 volts. For the issuance of the required voltage, as a rule, a toggle switch for 3 positions is responsible. Let's consider the main components based on Power Bank PC26000.
As you can see in the photo, the output for 12-16-19 volts is made as an addition to the standard power bank. Output 5 volts for charging a player or smartphone remains unchanged.
