I myself used Panasonic headphones, but I came to headsets, and so the "panas" are at the same level, and the budget Defender Warhead HN-G110 that I use now look more "Chinese" ...

The Somic themselves are a bit bigger. Defenders were bought in an offline store for the same amount as Somic, about six months ago.

The sound, in my subjective opinion, is better than on defenders. Much.
Once I used Philips SBCHP250, but broke the headband on them. The monitors themselves remained, and compared with them. I came to the conclusion that the sound quality of Somic is a bit too low for them :) Phillips have more bass, and catfish have more high ones. The volume is enough, sometimes more than enough.
Outcome: I will use it constantly. These Somic are much better than what electronics stores sell in the Russian Federation for the same price. There were both defenders and svens in many iterations, but Somic is closer to Panasonic and Phillips, and this is a different level.

I already wrote about the headphones of the large Chinese manufacturer SOMiC, although it was a model from his subsidiary Senicc and it did not perform very convincingly. After a not entirely successful experience, I put off buying other creations from this manufacturer for a while, although I was aware that many of his models were highly appreciated by the audiophile community. And so, after some time, I decided on a new experiment, this time with the main brand SOMiC. Two models were purchased, one of which is technologically simply called SOMiC V2, I'll tell you this time. It was bought for $ 43.
Naturally, I hoped only for the best, since the eminent manufacturer, in addition to products under its own brands, produces various headphones and headsets for brands from developed countries, and they don’t trust just anyone. And this Chinese company has a very good opportunity to "peep" some successful solutions for its own models from European, American and Japanese engineers.
The box has already made a good impression. Hard cardboard covered with textured paper; restrained printing; the use of metallic paint with a purple sheen; own recognizable style, carried over to many models of the line.
If you look inside, you will find the SOMiC V2 headphones themselves with velor ear pads; an adapter for a 6.35mm connector, which is not just put on a mini-jack, but screwed onto it; warranty card and (triple hurray) replaceable leatherette ear pads. I think the last point is especially outstanding, replaceable ear pads in a set of full-size headphones are a huge and pleasant rarity.
The SOMiC V2 headphones look very good, they are made accurately, the materials are of high quality. The design is well thought out and reliable. It feels like a solid product in the hands.
The plastic headband is quite tight, the top is covered with embossed synthetic leather, and the part adjacent to the head is softened with foam rubber and trimmed, perforated for better ventilation, with a tactilely pleasant leatherette.
Since the SOMiC V2 headphones are "open", the outer part of the plastic cups is a metal plate with many holes through which the radiator back is visible.
The cups are adjusted to the headband quite flexibly, the degrees of freedom are sufficient, the travel ranges are wide. Straps for adjusting the length of the headband - metal.
There is a wire divider with the brand logo.
The body of the straight plug is made of metal, has a fairly large size, and a metal spring acts as a flexible output - an excellent solution.
It's nice that there are indicators for the right and left headphones. It would seem that the joke is obvious, but not all manufacturers implement it.
But a non-removable cable, suitable for both cups, I cannot attribute to the pluses, especially considering the fact that it is as much as three meters long. Using the SOMiC V2 in a pair with a portable player will be difficult, even despite the fact that the cable is provided with a Velcro cable.
The headphones are equipped with emitters with a diameter of 42 mm, an impedance of 54 Ohm, and the range of reproducible frequencies extends from 15Hz to 30KHz. In theory, the sound should be decent. But what about in practice?
In practice, not everything is in line with theory. The model sounds good and grown-up, but I can't call it the best choice.
Bass slightly dominates over other frequencies, but not critical, the sound does not become suitable only for bassheads. Rather, it acquires warmth and envelops the listener. The bass velocity is correct, the sound is well defined.
The mids are not energetic enough. They, too, tend to envelop, round off the peaks of this area more than to "cut". This presentation is not suitable for all styles of music, or rather not for all listeners - lovers of analytics, over-intelligibility and opponents of evaluating a musical composition as a whole, such a sound may seem wrong. Personally, I am satisfied with almost everything, I value the atmosphere created by the track more, its mood, and not the extreme detail. Of course, the atmosphere of the SOMiC V2 is not to be occupied, it is present here in a serious volume, but I will be honest - I miss the "saw". I like the mids to growl, but here they hum.
The high frequencies are not pronounced, but this does not mean that there is a serious lack of them. The sound lacks air, but the instruments in this area are not lost.
A much bigger problem with this model is the narrow stage and, as a result, difficult positioning. Perhaps these headphones need a super-powerful sound source or some other condition in order for their potential to be unleashed, but to me they sounded as ambiguous as I described above.
Summing up, I will say that SOMiC V2 headphones with a bias in the "dark" sound. They are impressive in terms of equipment, convenience, workmanship and sound disappointing. It is, of course, above average and justifies the money that is asked for the model, but Superlux is still better and cheaper.
I will not dissuade you from buying SOMiC V2, the headphones are decent and able to please their owner, especially if the latter prefers electronic music of "dark" styles, but I will not undertake to recommend them either.

After Superlux HD681EVO, Takstars are, of course, listenable, but their bass is wildly scanty, although they can't turn to call this model bad. Their panorama is incomparable. :)
As for the overview subject, I just saw the American status audio headphones, I won't say for sure, long ago or not, but definitely a few months ago. The company basically does not put logos on its products. This model is called OB-1, it is possible that the OEMs or at the same plant. :)

The headset comes in a large, black, stylish box. Inside, everything is simple - a guarantee in Chinese, a small leaflet with instructions, which says what the buttons and the wheel do, and, in fact, the headset itself is impressive in size, made entirely of black plastic.
Outwardly, everything is made on a solid "five" - leatherette ear pads and headband, inserts for chrome-plated metal. The mesh is most likely made of metal. The headphones sit perfectly and easily: they do not fall off, do not press, it is pleasant to sit in them, they will fit a head of any size. Well, since this is a headset, then there is a microphone - it bends, keeping its shape. The cable is in a fabric braid, giving the headset a more serious appearance.
By connecting the device to the computer, the company's logos in the form of dragons will light up orange on the cups - it looks pretty good! The sound comes out immediately, without drivers. However, in order to experience surround sound, you will have to dance with a tambourine - you will have to find and install a driver. It would seem - what's wrong with that? The fact is that this headset had several revisions, and each had its own driver. If earlier the manufacturer put a disc with the coveted software in the box, now - if you please go to the official website, where you will have to find instructions on how to determine which version of the driver you need. And only after you install the coveted driver, with which you can adjust the sound of the headphones and microphone, you can feel with your ears all the pros and cons of this device. Spoiler alert: there are many downsides.
In the driver settings, you can adjust the equalizer, volume (including for each ear), adjust the microphone (it is here, by the way, of quite decent quality), and most importantly - enable surround sound, adjusting it at your discretion. On the remote control there are on / off buttons for the microphone and bass (about bass - a little later) and a volume wheel.
But the fun begins when you decide to play or watch a movie. Still, seven-channel sound, and even for two (in the season of discounts - and at all - for one and a half) thousand rubles! But first, I decided to check out how the music sounds. And it sounds ... not at all. And if you can still listen to pop music like Skrillex, at the very least, you cannot listen to rock of different varieties.
Next - the games. I played them for a short time - the sounds simply mix with each other, and the surrounding sound is not felt. But in the movies, the sound is really good! The bass is juicy, the surround sound is generally good considering the cost of the headphones. We were especially pleased with "Transformers" - they perfectly show the essence of the sound of this headset: powerful, bassist, good stereo. Moreover, the headset has a magic button that turns on vibration, which imitates a subwoofer. And yes, the manufacturer honestly writes that this is vibration. The sensations are specific - not everyone likes it, but if you want new sensations, it's worth trying this feature. Moreover, the effect of the subwoofer works quite "cleverly": there is no overabundance of bass, amplification appears only when some explosions occur, for example.
The headset as a whole has mixed impressions: it is not easy to listen to music, and it is not easy to play games. But for get-togethers with friends for something casual and conversations on Skype discord - that's it. In principle, you can watch a movie in them. They can come off as a temporary replacement for old, broken headphones - Somic G941 are inexpensive, give out at least some sound. Their main problem lies in marketing - they are positioned as headphones with surround sound, in fact, this is an ordinary stereo with a very budget sound, you should definitely not expect something supernatural from them. In general, I would definitely recommend it for those who are looking for a cheap, comfortable and high-quality headset for work, as well as for those who like to play PS4 at night - the headset works with this console.
