RAM is a device that allows the processor to work much faster. RAM or random access memory (RAM) is really "operational" thanks to it your phone does not "hang", any programs and files open instantly. Thanks to RAM, you do not have to wait for a long time to load one or another phone component. Any of your actions on the phone will be instantly performed. Also, RAM stores important information necessary for the correct operation of running programs and applications (games, music, widgets, etc.)

And now it's time to look at smartphones that are better than the iPhone 5. For comparison, let's take the three most popular smartphone models. These are Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung Galaxy S 3 and HTC EVO 4G LTE. So, let's start a visual comparison of these models with the Iphone 5!
Almost the entire body of these models is occupied by the screen. The largest display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels Samsung Galaxy S3, but the image quality can be better, this is the only flaw of the Korean masters. At Nokia Lumia 920 the display is much better than the samsung. The display has a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels at a size of 4.5 inches, but still it only comes in second place. The winner in the best display category is the HTC EVO 4G LTE model with the following specifications: 4.7-inch display size, display resolution 720 x 1280 pixels. The iPhone 5 has a four-inch thin display with a screen resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. This is even worse than the Samsung Galaxy S 3. In this battle of displays, the iPhone 5 loses every possible position and takes the 4th line.
Now let's compare the RAM of phones and processors. Nokia has two cores running at 1.5GHz and 1GB of RAM plus a GPU that boosts desktop and gaming performance. HTC has two cores and 1.5 GHz. Samsung Galaxy S 3 generally has a quad-core processor with a frequency of 1.4GHz and 1GB of RAM. The iPhone 5 has a new A6 chip that is significantly faster than the older models, but still not fast enough to take advantage. It also has a dual-core processor with a frequency of 1GHz. In this race for performance, Samsung wins, and the Iphone 5 takes only third place.
Now let's compare the possible sound characteristics of phones. Korean manufacturers have always had good performance in this area. The new Samsung is no exception! Nokia also has its own trump cards - this is an audio chip and acoustics from JBL. In addition, Nokia and Iphone 5 have three microphones, and Samsung Galaxy S 3 has 2 of them and they constantly break. HTC pleased with the abundance of built-in music formats and the pure sound of music, but still it is not a competitor in this category. In this category, Nokia wins by a small margin thanks to its audio chip. Iphone 5 takes an honorable second place.
An important component in this fight is the camcorder phones. The iPhone 5 has an 8 megapixel camera with anti-scratch glass. It shoots even better in twilight and has a new panoramic shooting mode. The Lumia 920 has a 9-megapixel camera and a floating static stabilization lens.
HTC has an 8-megapixel camera that can shoot video and take photos at the same time. In the Galaxy S 3, the camera remained at the level of the S 2 and did not receive significant changes. Comparing these features, we can safely name the winner - it's Nokia. iPhone 5 again occupies an honorable second place.
It seems that all the main functions have been dismantled, except for the last one. How long can our phone last? Charging a battery is a tricky business. It all depends on the variety of running programs and the load on the processor. But still, on the basis of statistical data, we can draw a conclusion. Iphone 5 promises us 8 hours of talk time and 225 hours of standby time.
Nokia claims that the phone will last 10 hours in active mode and 300 hours in standby mode. HTC EVO 4G LTE lasts 9 hours in working mode and 580 hours in standby mode. But the big winner is the Galaxy S 3, with phenomenal specs of 12 hours of continuous use and an incredible 790 hours of standby time.
Comparing these models, we can say that the Iphone 5 definitely does not take prizes. Although, when all these models are on sale, the Samsung Galaxy S 3 will cost you the least, and the Iphone 5 will cost you the most. Comparing the characteristics of these phones, we came to the conclusion that there is no ideal phone model. Everyone chooses a phone for himself according to the criteria that are important to him personally.
